Oh buggie, this week! I have gotten so far behind on your letters, which means they're not going to be as accurately detailed as they would have been had I done them on the correct days. I will try my hardest to recall what we did two days ago!
When you were very little we owned two cats named Wingspan and Banjo. They were our babies before you were our baby! But as you got bigger and wanted to play on the floor, I couldn't let you do that because it was always covered in fur and litter (despite my daily vacuuming) and the kitties always tried to lie on top of you. So, although it was a very hard decision to make, we decided to find W+B a new home. Once they were gone and the floor was clean, you were off walking! I don't regret what we did at all because it allowed me to be a better mom and gave the cats people who would give them the love and attention they deserve, but I did feel bad for the few months when they were being treated like nuisances.
Fast forward 6 months and we're now the main caretakers of the house cats! Jackson and Sky are fairly old and live in your grammie's big bathroom, which happens to be the one where we shower. On Sunday you and I gave that room a big scrub and made it a friendlier environment for cats and kiddos alike. I don't always love having to take care of cats that aren't mine, but I'm glad that I'm able to show you how to properly love on animals, since I certainly wasn't doing that before!
Daddy was studying all weekend for a test that he had on Monday, so we dropped him off at Starbucks and went to buy treats for your party. Before that, though, daddy went to pick out his fathers day present - you are so generous!! You had a really good time pulling all of the clubs and balls out of their respective slots, and even got to carry around a kid-sized putter for a while.
You are such a mamas girl most of the time, but you love doing activities like golf and baseball with your daddy. I look forward to the day when you can actually do these things with him and I know he's very excited as well.
I love you buggie,
mama
